From Monday 25 March until 12 April, contractors working on behalf of Electricity North West will undertake urgent roadworks on Oldham Road.

The work will take place on the inbound carriageway towards the City Centre between Cornell Street and Poland Street. As a result, the closure of the bus lane and one general traffic lane will be required, but there will still be a lane open so that you can make your journey.

Roads leading onto Oldham Road will have full access and will remain open. If you are driving in or around the area expect Increased journey times due to the reduction in road capacity.

The 74, 76, 76A, 83, 84, 114, 181 and 182 bus services may see minor delays due to the closure of the bus lane. Those travelling via bus should allow extra time for your journey and should use the Bee Network app to see the latest live departures from your stop.

In addition, the bus stop on the inbound carriageway of Oldham Road, close to the junction of Thompson Street will be closed. Please see information at the closed stop detailing where to board a bus.
