Ride leader

Who's it for?

This is for you if you're an experienced cyclist, confident riding in a group, and want to help others get out on their bikes. You could be a youth or community worker, a cycling champion at work or a club rider who wants to lead rides.


Why you should do it

This full-day session, run by an expert instructor, will give you the skills and confidence to lead communal rides.


What you'll learn

You will learn how to:

  • Take responsibility for a group ride.
  • Plan a route.
  • Assess risks.
  • Check people's bikes and equipment.
  • Advise other riders about technique and safety.
  • Deal with incidents.

What you need

It's best to bring your own bike, but we can lend you one if necessary – although please check first.

Usually in Openshaw, Manchester.

Six hours.
