Learn to ride

Who's it for?

This is for you if you're new to cycling, or haven't ridden for many years. You might not even have a bike.

Why you should do it

You'll be in a small group with other beginners in a park, school playground or similar quiet outdoor area.

Run by a qualified instructor, the course will give you the confidence to take the first step into cycling, at your own pace, starting from getting on your bike.

There's no pressure; come to as many sessions as it takes.

What you'll learn

You'll learn how to:

  • Get on and off your bike.
  • Start and stop.
  • Steer and change speed.
  • Check your bike before you ride.

What you need

We provide a bike and helmet but you can bring your own if you prefer.

Where

Sessions are held across Greater Manchester.

Age range

Sessions are open to those over the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult or 16 when unaccompanied.
