Cycling clubs and groups

Meet new people, and become a better safer cyclist

There are lots of cycling groups and clubs across Greater Manchester. Some are based around fun 'social' outings, others enjoy long rides at a faster pace.

Many clubs run two or three rides, so there's something for beginners and experienced riders alike. Most welcome new riders, and will help you get into group riding at a level that suits you.

If you can't find a group for you, or you don't feel ready for one yet, you can join an organised social or guided ride to enjoy cycling with others in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Over 250 clubs have now signed up to the Go-Ride principles as British Cycling looks to develop its plan to integrate club development and structured coaching activities for young people into a single, recognisable programme. Put simply, Go-Ride clubs have something to offer everyone. They offer opportunities to ride, regardless of age and ability and opportunities to volunteer so there is something to suit all. For clubs, we feel the support, resources and guidance we can offer makes the effort of joining the Go-Ride programme very much worth their while.
