Cycle parking facilities - Cycle Centres and Compounds
Transport for Greater Manchester is developing plans for new cycle parking facilities in Manchester City Centre and other locations throughout Greater Manchester. The new facilities will not be replacing the Sheffield stands or the lockers at rail stations which are currently provided.
You can read more about these proposals in pages 9 - 12 via this link:

Two types of facility are proposed:
- Cycle Centres: These are primarily aimed at longer distance cyclists and will provide secure cycle parking, lockers for personal belongings, showers, toilets and changing facilities; and
- Cycle Compounds: These are targeted at shorter distance commuter cyclists not requiring showers or changing facilities and will provide covered and secure cycle parking with storage lockers.
