Public transport for the Logistics North Development Area

Logistics North Local Link is the flexible bus that connects you with work at Logistics North at times to suit your work requirements.

If you live in one of the orange areas shown on the map you can book the service to travel directly between your home location and Logistics North workplace. If you travel from outside these areas the service can collect you from one of the bus or train station pick-up points shown on the map.

The service runs every day 4am to 9am, 1pm to 6pm and 7pm to 1.30am. There is no service on Christmas day, boxing day and new years' day.

Paying for your journey

You don’t pay anything when you book your journey, simply pay the driver when your Local Link arrives.

You can buy single or money-saving return and season tickets. Under-five’s go free when travelling with an adult and children under 16 pay child fares.

Phone 0161 200 6012 Lines open 7am–8pm Mon to Fri, 8am–8pm Sat, Sun and public holidays. Lines are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Registering and booking

Before you use Local Link for the first time you need to register. You can do this by phone or on the Local Link website. To book a journey phone at least one hour before you want to travel.

You can book all your journeys up to a week in advance, including return journeys. Your service may arrive up to 10 minutes before or after your booked time.

System One Travelcards* can be used on Logistics North Local Link.

*Get me there technology coming soon to Local Link! Until then, please retain your receipt for any System One products you buy for use on the Local Link service.

National Concessionary Travel Pass holders pay a lower concessionary fare, and if you have a Concession Plus pass issued by Transport for Greater Manchester you can travel for free. We also accept Travel Vouchers.

The service picks up from stand HH at Bolton Bus Station, Farnworth Bus Station or from other train stations within the service area.

Logistics North Local Link is operated by Telecars. It is funded by Harworth Estates, in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester and Bolton, Wigan and Salford Councils.
