Fares

Click on the relevant area to find the correct fare for your journey.

You pay a fixed fare within one area - no matter how long your journey - so you’ll know exactly how much it will cost before you travel.

Local Link accepts different payment options:

Single and return tickets

Single and return tickets are available for adults and children – and if you’re using Local Link to travel both ways, a return ticket will be cheaper than two singles. Simply pay the driver when you start your journey.

If you buy a return, the return part of your journey must be made within 24 hours of the outward journey.

Travel for children

Children under five travel free with an adult, and children under 16 pay lower child fares provided they show their igo pass to the driver.

English National Concessionary Travel Pass

If you have an English National Concessionary Travel Pass you can travel for a concessionary fare after 9.30am on weekdays and at any time at the weekends and public holidays. The concessionary fares are shown with the information for each service. Please show your pass to the driver to travel for the concessionary fare.

If you have an English National Concessionary Travel Pass for disabled people you pay a concessionary fare at all times. These fares are shown with the information for each area. Please show your pass to the driver to travel for the concessionary fare.

If you have an English National Concessionary Travel Pass Concession Plus pass issued by Transport for Greater Manchester you can travel free on Local Link. Just show your pass to the driver.
