Enjoy free travel in Manchester city centre

Whether it's for work or leisure, free travel on Metrolink trams and Metroshuttle buses makes it easier and lighter on your pocket to enjoy the freedom of this great city.
Metroshuttles are free buses linking the main rail stations, shopping areas and businesses in Manchester city centre. Metroshuttle buses run from Piccadilly, Salford Central, Victoria, Oxford Road and Deansgate rail stations. for more information visit the Metroshuttle page or see the leaflet below.
You can travel free on Metrolink trams in the city zone if you have bought a rail ticket for travel from any Greater Manchester station to Piccadilly, Victoria, Deansgate or Oxford Road. Metrolink off-peak times apply when you travel by tram, so if you use an Off-peak train ticket there is no restriction on using trams in the city centre during the afternoon peak time that applies to trains.

Your train ticket should show Manchester CTLZ as its destination and applies to:
- Single and return tickets;
- Season tickets;
- Rail Ranger;
- Bus and Train DaySaver.
